These sessions are open to everyone, whether Muslim or not, who would like to learn, discuss, and talk about Islam in a non-judgemental, open space.

Why Do Bad Things Always Happen to Me?Feeling trapped within the confines of the same problem over and over again is both soul-crushing and overwhelming. Whatever the problem is, it can be emotionally exhausting to face the same issue day in and out, sometimes year after year. How can one break the cycle of negativity? Join us in this conversation where you will gain a greater understanding of your thoughts and emotions. Identify what your stressors are and how you can combat these without succumbing to negative feelings 

Why does God ask us to worship Him?Questions about the rationale behind worship often arise among those sceptical of faith. It has even stirred doubts in many believers who have been worn down by its relentless repetition, or who have simply lost hope in ever having it answered to their satisfaction. These questions usually involve incorrect assumptions about the nature of God and where the benefits of worship lie. Join us for what will be an insightful conversation  

How can we be sure the Prophet ﷺ was a prophet?Muslims accept Muhammad ﷺ as the last in the long series of messengers sent by God to communicate the message of monotheism and good works to humanity. But why Muhammad ﷺ and why was he sent at the time he was? Let's examine some reasons why the time and place were right for the final Prophet ﷺ to appear. 

How can we control our emotions and reactions?Being more present in prayer, having more control over our wandering minds and desires is something every believer want to achieve. So the question is what exactly can we do and how can we achieve this? How can we become more mindful in all aspects of our lives, spiritual and temporal? Join us to discuss techniques that can help in the practice of exercising mindfulness, in the Islamic context of muraqabah. To understand how we can help train our minds to become more disciplined and can thereby enhance our regular worship and daily activities.

This discussion we will discover some aspect of history and contextualise why Islam is seen the way it is today 

Why does Allah want us to repent?By allowing us to repent is Allah giving us a free pass to commit sins so we can turn back to Him? Is there a deeper reason why Allah wants us to do this? Allah loves it when we repent so join this discussion to gain a deeper understanding of how repentance can brings us closer to Allah. 

Why does God allow evil to exist?“Why is there pain and suffering in the world?” No one is alone in wondering why evil exists. Is this question tied to a larger understanding of why we ourselves exist. Can those who inflict evil on others ever get the justice they deserve? Come together to delve deeper and explore what the answer to this question will lead to. 

Do we need Hadith? If the Quran is complete then why do we need Hadith?  What is Hadith and how much should it influence he lives of Muslims? To understand this question we need to recognise the vast literature in Hadith and the lengths and efforts the scholars had to go through to preserve them. By not fully understanding what the chain of transmission entails, we cannot fully value what Hadith is. In this conversation we will delve in this topic and expand your appreciation of Hadith literature 

How can you make this Ramadhan the best one yet?So how will we make Ramadhan fit in with new norms and what can we do to make this Ramadhan the best one yet? This discussion will help us to train our outlook to get the best experience this Ramadhan and ensure we are not missing out.  

How can we empower ourselves in uncertain times? In moments of uncertainty when the world feels out of our control, its a good time to breathe and remember Who is really in control and refocus on what's really important in life. Join us in conversation to explore how do we empower ourselves spiritually, mentally and emotionally during anxiety and uncertain times.
